I stitched together a baby quilt that is made with 5 bright colors in the shape of rectangles. The sashing is 1 inch squares using the same color. My question is: what type of quilting pattern would I use to finish off the quilt? Straight lines or curvy lines? Can you help ?

I would love to see a pic. That helps with deciding what quilting to do.

Here are a couple of pics taken with my digital camera in my sewing room with just the overhead light.

I say curvy loops and something loopy also in the borders. It's so linear already that straight "geometic" quilting would make it look too hard and cold. Love the brights, by the way.

I agree. I think a non-linear pattern, like meandering or loops, would look nice.

Thanks for your input. I was thinking the same thing; I wanted to get away from the same ol' SITD, which I have already done to outline the rectangles. Now I'm thinking I'll do curly Q s's in the border and maybe one large one in each of the rectangles. I'm so structured all the time. I have no spontaneousnous. :|
