http://thatcrazyquiltygirl.blogspot....et-debbie.html

I often think it's a shame when I see an old, often hand-pieced top given to an unsympathetic LAer just to be pantoed or stippled all over... But take a look at this link - it's a traditional Sunbonnet Sue top, pieced by it's owner's great-grandmother. And personally, I think that this long-armer did an absolutely fabulous and very sympathetic job on it. I think the finished quilt is now a prime example of how the old traditional can sit beautifully alongside our contemporary skills with modern machines. What do you all think? :D

EDIT: it's the second quilt on the page I'm referring to, you have to scroll down a tad. :-D

EDIT 2: here's a link with better photos http://quiltinggallery.com/2011/02/1...ongarm+Quilter

That's the kind of quilting I love!!! Where almost every inch is heavily quilted. I really dislike big feathers that are 9" wide, and that's it.

@k3n
And I see you're showing off your beautiful creation in your new avatar. It's so fabulous.

She could make your slithering friend pop.

Isn't it great when someone takes pride in their craft?

A beautiful treasure. Handling the extra fullness can be quite a job. I am working one today that had that problem.
