Default Before buying machine online....

Before you buy a machine online, check with your local dealer. I was thrilled to find that my local Juki dealer matched online pricing. Not only did I not have to wait for delivery, I have a way to get it serviced in case it needs it in the future.

GREAT ADVICE!! I bought both of my Berninas at quilt shows on the last day and received a big discount on both of them. I don't understand how anybody can buy a DSM without giving it a trial run. I always test drove all the cars I bought too.

I tried buying my Brother PE-770 Embroidery machine from my local dealer at Christmas but they were $150 higher than on-line. So I bought online, and used that $150 toward a 3-year maintenance agreement from the local dealer (they sell maintenance agreements for any new machine regardless of where it was purchased).

Always a good idea to ask, but many will not. when I bought my Ult 2002 there was a $3000 difference. they wouldn't budge. I knew i wouldn't be able to fit their "free" classes in my schedule due to time and distance so i bought online . Machine was delivered in 3 days , i opened the box and started sewing/embroidering.

Just as a suggestion, go to the website of the machine you want to purchase online and do a search for the model. There are times when the cheaper online machines are refurbished machines, and they do not tell you.
