Please remember those words. Here is my testimony. I have a very old Bernina that I absolutely love (807). About a year ago I got a 630 as a gift from a total stranger. It may be the circumstances around it or the fact that the machine is amazing, but my work has improved 100%. My old Bernina always has a special spot in my sewing room and I use it from time to time, but there is nothing like having the right equipment for the job. For a straight line anything will do, but when you want precision, nothing beats a good machine.

I don't have any sudden inspiration to do a quilt based on that photo.

Sending inspiration your way. I wish I had more time. I will shoot for one, but a lot of ideas come to mind. The only down side is that the judging is done based on photos and they never reveal the real thing.

Very true. Also, the guidelines seem very strict. Are challenges normally like this?
