Bernina 153 QE slow to take off??

    I have a Bernina 153QE and I have a 155.

When I step down on the foot pedal of the 153QE it does not always take off so I pump it like a foot pedal on a car and it runs like a dream. This problem does not happen each time, just periodically.

I pulled the foot pedal off of my 155, tried it on the 153QE and it has the same problem so I then took both foot pedals to my 155 and there was no problem. That kind of rules out the foot pedal.

Any ideas what could be wrong with the 153QE? And if you did have the same problem, do you know what the cost was to fix it?

I've got a 153qe and never had a problem. Touch wood! Could there be a loose connection in the machine socket?

When you take your Bernina in for servicing, I would tell the technician what the problem is and how you know that it is NOT the foot petal at fault.

You should be able to take it in and get an estimate of the repair cost. Just make sure that they write on the order that no repairs are to be made without prior approval from you.
