I read once how you can figure out the manufacturing date (age) of your Bernina and now I can't find it. I know there is a code in the serial number, can some one direct me or let me know the code to find the date?

I am not sure how accurate that info is. My serial number on my 1530 is 18 digit long starting with two zeros. I found it at the back of my Bernina near the base.

I was told the first 2 digits on the serial number is the year. Mine is 00 and I got it in 2000.
