Glenda C------I also have the 1230 and I have never had a machine I loved so much. Mine did that once and I had to have it repaired. They told me to go through the decorative stitches every month or so and stitch each one of them so that they don't get "stuck". I haven't had the problem since and that's been several years. All Bernina dealers tell me NEVER to get rid of that machine because it's still made with all steel parts. Most others are not.

    Hope you get it fixed!

Glenda let us know how you came out with your machine.
I think I know about that dealer in Beaumont, if it's the one I'm thinking of they are just jerks alround. That machine still sells for $800 to $1200. They probably just wanted to get your machine for resale.
