I have an older Bernina walking foot (10 yrs?)- before they came out with the open toe sole plate attachment. Will the new stitch in the ditch attachment fit on my older model walking foot?

I don't know. I have a newer model and it fits mine. Hopefully someone on here can help you

I own a new and had an old Bernina and as I understand the new machines use a longer foot to accomodate the needle threader. The older machines use a short shank foot.

I agree with sammygirlqt, the older models and newer models are different.
