I just bought a CurveMaster foot at the Houston quilt festival. I like it a lot but am having trouble with the tension. Has anyone else had to significantly adjust the tension on your machine to use this foot? I am using a Brother PC 8900.

Also, I have been practicing with some drunkard path blocks. Which way should I be pressing the blocks? Both fabrics are medium tone, so it wouldn't show either way, but I wasn't sure if there was a proper or standard method.

When you are sewing with your curve master are you holding up on the top fabric as you sew around the curve maybe you need to adjust the amount of tension you are applying when holding onto the fabric. When I do my drunkard path blocks I always press to the outside of the curve so the fabric lays the flatest.

Thanks,

I do hold the top fabric up, just like they showed me, and I also use the tweezers to finish up the seam.

I have never changed the tention when I used mine. I have used it on several different machines also.
