    Default Urban Odyssey Layer Cake

Hi everyone! I have a layer cake of Connecting Thread's Urban Odyssey fabric and cannot for the life of me figure out what to do with it! Have any of you used this line? Any ideas how I can use it? There are only 24 squares. I can order some of the yardage, but I don't want to keep buying more fabric without a plan. That doesn't seem to be working for me. Thanks for any ideas.

Would a D9P work? Maybe get some coordinating fabrics that will work with the prints?

How about a Ten minute square with one other colour as the centre?

Thanks, y'all! I've done a D9P and not been thrilled with it, but I think that was my fault rather than the pattern. Never tried the ten minute idea yet, so that is interesting. This is getting my mind going.

If you do a 10 minute quilt and add an accent square for the center, it will make six 19.5" blocks. You can add sashing or other plain blocks inbetween to make it larger....and of course borders. Could be real pretty!

10 minute blocks are fast, easy, and look great when done. Also a great way to use up those coordinating fabrics....buy enough of a coordinating fabric for center block and maybe a border.....makes me want to do another one!

If you have the twister ruler, it works with the layer cake and is fast quilt to make

There is a pinwheel sampler quilt along that is made from a layer cake. It makes such a cute quilt, one of my favorite go-to things. If you go here http://www.psiquilt.com/p/tutorials.html and scroll down to pinwheel sampler, there are links to each block, etc.

I really like this quilt. I have MSQC Half Hexi ruler but I think you could make your own. You could sash all the hexies to make the quilt bigger.
