Default Best press discoloring?

A couple weeks ago I bought my first bottle of Best Press, and agree that it does a great job to make ironing smoother and remove wrinkles. However, the light-blue solution has now turned dark gray, and I'm afraid to use the rest of the bottle for fear of staining my fabric!

Has anyone else seen this? Is there a way to prevent this from happening in the future? The stuff is too expensive to have to throw half of it away!

I have never seen this, mine has been blue for several years, color doesn't change, that doesn't sound right

I have used the lavendar one and never any issues. I would try to contact Best Press and let them know what happened they will probably send you a new one and they do have an unscented clear one. Sorry could not be any help.

I buy it by the gallon and not had this problem. Certainly contact them - think they will help you. May need to send a sample of the fabric with and with out the Best Press.

I gave some to my Mother and if anyone would have problem with it will be her and will never hear the end of it.LOL!

I wonder if it has something to do with sunlight.

When my sprays get low in the bottle I combine them into the fullest bottle until I buy more. I have Bounce Ironing spray, Faultless, Best Press, and Niagara sitting on my ironing table. No problem with any of them being mixed together. The color is odd looking but does not stain the fabric. Try using it on a piece of white fabric and see if it works.

I have never seen this, and I use Best Press all the time. Is it possible that the fabric was "treated" with some kind of sizing? Have you tried to wash it out? I would contact the company for recommendations. Hope your quilt is OK.
