Default Best Starter Book for Quilters

My niece is rearing to start quilting. What does everyone recommend as "the best" starter book? I had a MiL who lent me books, patterns and suggestions. Then Eleanor Burns and her strip quilting books became my guide. What do YOU recommend?

My go to book is Better Homes and Gardens Complete Guide to Quilting. Joann's usually have. Of course there are always a ton of video's and other information on line.

Fons & Porter's Complete Guide to Quilting is good. Also one called Your First Quilt Book - Or It Should Be, by Carol Doak. And Alex Anderson's books are great.

I love "Quilting for Dummies". Basic and elementary. I use it often

Someone told me that the series Quilters Acadamy by Harriet Hargrave is wonderful. Volume one would be for beginers

The Singer book on beginning quilting is a good one too.

All of these are good! See if you can look through them before buying. You might find one of them is better for you than the others.
