wonder clips are my favorite, they now have jumbo size. I could not get the hair clips to stay. I am sure it was just me. wonderclips are well worth the money and I purchased mine when Joanns had a 50 coupon.

I love the silver binding clips. i have lots of them and use them all the time. easy to use and strong too. not sure about comparing with hair clips though.

If you use the ladder stitch you don't need to use any clips or pins.

The clips labeled quilting do hold stronger then regular hair clips. I use to use them. I don't use anything but Clover Wonder Clips now.

I fold my binding to the back and then pin from the front, that way I don't get stabbed and thread does not get caught up in the pins

Ditto! Love them too, and have not had a problem with them. I've left them on for quite awhile, and never had a problem!

I have posted this before. You can save your money and not buy any clips if you just iron your binding. Sew your binding on like normal, then turn it towards the back and press a nice seam all the way around. The only place you will need to pin is on the mitered corners. It does take a few minutes to iron but it sure is better then pins or clips.

The box of clips from a quilting shop we found is cheaper than buying from chemist for hair. I find they hold in better than straight pins but I do like the wonderclipswhich grip fabric. You only need a few to but binding in place 12 inches in front of stitching. Although in desperation have used bulldog clips.

I use the binding clips also. I don't like pinning bindings. I use about 4-5 of them and move them down as I sew.

For me the binding clips are easier to put on and take off then the hair clips. My arthritic hands find it easier.
