Hi I am a newbie to quilting and was wondering if anyone could point me to a video on how to bind my quilt. Thanks in advance.

www.youtube.com has some great binding videos and other quilting videos. That's where I learn most things.

Sharon Schamber's FABULOUS videos on binding. There are 3 parts.

I wish I would have seen these back when I was a newbie!

Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PE0Yq9iGlc
Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3vHI7rgZpw

Some nice video's out there! Do a google search. I like the one where you come to the end, fold down and then up.

I just learned a couple weeks ago from the crafty gemini (google) and then to do the other side of the quilt by machine the Crazy quilt in a day. The crafty gemini really clicked for me. Good luck!

My two cents, those Sharon Schamber vids are great. I normally trim off everything evenly, then bind...Never again. Two quilts that get LOTS of washing and wear are now wearing out at the binding outside edge. The suggestion to leave a quarter inch of batt sure sounds like good sense now to me.

Sharon Schambers has the best videos. My binding improved lots after I started using her techniques. What a treasure she is to the quilting world! Good luck on your bindings.
