    Have you thought about using Pigma pens or fabric pain and just paint over the skin color to make it a darker skin? That might work, but I'd practice first. Just a thought :)

    That is something that I have never thought about is ethnic styled fabric but you would think that they would have several lines dedicated to them. I hope a manufacturer or designer sees this thread and they do something about it. I can see where there is a huge demand for this type of fabric.

    Yes, look at all the Dick and Jane and fairy tale and reproduction 50's novelties. Probably had Aunt Jemima, cannibal king, porters, maids and Uncle Remus fabrics which are not, thank heaven, being reproduced.

    Just to add to the mix, there is a wonderful "Cinderella" out (several years now) with a white king, a black queen (played by Woopee Goldberg), an hispanic prince and I think an Asia Cinderella. It was the best we had seen and we played it until the VHS gave out. All the kids loved it (but then our family is made up of all those parts so perhaps they felt it was absolutely normal and right!), and it is!!!
