Ok girls, I have searched for years for some dark, navy blue with white baby swiss polka dots fabric. I have gotten close many times but never quite find the right one. There is a quilt I've been waiting years to make until I have this fabric, I search as many on-line stores as I can and I look for it at every quilt store or Walmart, etc. that I go to. Have any of you seen any? I need 8 - 10 yards.

hopefully you can find what you want...however just wanted to mention that I made a sailboat quilt with the navy pin dot in about 1996 (I think) the navy is all pale grey now....it hasn't been in the sun....but it has been washed often.

hmmmm, I don't want that to happen! This would be in some filtered sun, I'm wanting to make the quilt but use it as a tablecloth. I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks for the advice.

I found some navy blue with a white swiss dot last year at joann's. Have you tried there or their website? Maybe they'll get again this year as it was a thinner fabric and good for the summer?

No, I don't remember trying Joann's and ours closed so I will check for it on-line. Thanks! :D

Lisa, I just bought some the other day at a discount store here in Maine. It is about an hour away from me, but we may be going up there to see grandson play again soon. I'll let you know. Of course they may not have any left. I only bought 2 yards and have used about 1/2 of it. This store is great. It has a wonderful fabric section, of all brand names and the most expensive is 2.99. Probably last years fabric, but who cares???

Hi there, I appreciate your offer if you go back to the fabric store, anyway that you could post a pic of your fabric so I could see it? Would you mind looking at the post right after yours and checking out her link to see if that is what you have? She calls her a pin dot but I think the swiss is just a tad bigger of a dot. She is pretty close though, let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Lisa

nor'easter, I'm not sure of the difference or if there is any, hard to tell by the photo in the link. I can say that it's the closest to what I'm looking for. I think the swiss might be a tad bigger but it's still a very small dot. I'm going to see if beachlady thinks it's the same as what she recently purchased or not. I will make a decision between the two and get on with it!!! lol! I have searched for so long, which is usually a fun pursuit, but this one has lasted way too long!! Thanks ladies for your help! :)

Lisa, Craft Connection will send what they call free snippets of fabrics you are interested in. This is from their website: "Unlike other online stores, we do send free snippets if you send us a self-addressed stamped envelope, and tell us the codes for the fabrics you need (no snippets of Ultrasuede or fleece). That way you can see the exact colors of the fabric before you buy. We hope this will work reasonably well for our customers." I have done business with them and they are extremely nice. Hope it works out for you after so long!
