Am in MI for the summer. I found a blue and white striped quilt in a magazine several months ago. Thought I had the magazine with me - HA! I think the quilt was on the cover. Do I remember WHICH magazine? HA again.

Starts out with a white strip (22" long - I think) sewed to a blue strip 40 or so inches long, sewed on the bias as you would a border or binding strip, then another 20 some inch white strip. You can be scrappy, or like the one in the magazine, make it white with all different blue strips. And you sew as many together as you want to get the size you need. I'm sure I could probably do it on the fly, but really would like the directions.

If anybody has that magazine or can give me the exact instructions, I would so appreciate it.

Thanks -

Nita in MI

Thanks, hope you find it. I just wish I could find that magazine which I'm so certain I brought with me. Alas, it hasn't turned up yet.

Am glad you liked my avatar. Is on a t-shirt that my oldest daughter gave me. Mind you, I'm pretty much a teetotaler, which, in my mind, makes it even funnier.

I think I remember that quilt, but I'm not sure where in this mess the magazine might be. Will post if I run across it soon.

Oh, thank you, thank you. I even stopped at the local quilt store tonight because she has a lot of magazines - but not the one I wanted.

Sure hope you find it, if not, I'll just make the quilt some other day.

Yes, I could ask my neighbor, but she already does more for us than she needs to and I really don't want her looking in my mess - not that she hasn't seen my messy sewing room - but she doesn't need to waste what could turn out to be hours!!! Let me tell you, I have thought about it. May even yet do that. I've got lots of other things I can work on, that are years old UFOs. So should keep my nose to the grindstone doing those first.

Is it like the super fast jelly roll quilt? Like my avatar? If so, there's a tute.
