I have one of the original Sidewinders and love it. Right now most of my sewing involves different colors and unless I have two spools of a color I have to unthread my machine. When piecing I keep several of a neutral color handly. With my '57 Kenmore I can use metal or plastic bobbins, so no problem with bobbins fitting the Sidewinder.
