    For me the purple washs out the color, but the blue makes it pop. I would only put a blue border.

    what about the dark in the easter eggs? Maybe a little of that. I mean the Dark background behind the eggs

    I was thinking along these lines but with a very narrow dark and then wider blue. It's gorgeous!

    I would use the pink or as someone else said the dark background color for a narrow border than the blue or violet. Try both and use the one that speaks to you.

    I think the violet makes the inner star shine, the blue seems to make the outer star points just blend into the border - so I would put the violet first, then use the flanged binding tute from the tutorials section here with the blue and the print - that way you still have some blue on the border, just a hint of it to keep the eye moving outward.
