No, I think it brings out the lavender in the fabric and plays well with the dominant yellow and green.

I personally would echo the green. Your top is very pretty.

If you have any more of the green try a second border. Otherwise I have to agree with mike's girl.

I think the same shade of green in a print would work well

Perhaps leave it, and bind in the green? Or, change to green outer border.....

I really like your quilt top. Since you asked, I would add more of the floral fabric for the border and bind with the floral or green. I think the quilt gives the eye too many places to stop with a different color border. I would use the same color green for the quilting thread in the negative spaces and green area. Variegated for the floral area.

Wow! You've been working hard! I think I'd tie in the green on the border or binding.

The reason I agree with those ladies above is that I find the border as you have it now is too light and doesn't do a good job of framing the quilt. Rather, it blends in. When I add borders, I like to think of the quilt as the picture and the border as the frame. I want it to hold the quilt together (color/pattern-wise) and add a stopping point. So, if you want to use that purple, I would add a second and third border, on either side of the purple to better delineate it. Clear as mud?
