I came back to it about an hour later, only to discover that it hadn't over heated, but the quilt had knocked the cord such that it wasn't plugged in all the way!!!!
So.....I have now finished the centre, just the border left to quilt, then get the binding on.
Silly me!!!!! LOL

Ahh, the benefits of walking away for a time.. Glad it wasn't more more serious!

I had a similar thing happen on my brand new HQ16. The lights went out on the handles and I'm thinking oh now what, DH is going to have ducks. Turn out I had not plugged the cord in to the machine tight enough. Wasn't funny then, but was relieved that was all that was wrong.

You probably needed that break. I 'll bet that the quilting went more smoothly when you got back to thye machine.

My hubby likes to record certain things on his DVD recorder. One day we were out all day and he was worried that he didn't give the thing enought time to get all he wanted recorded. When we got home he found that our little cat had pulled out the TV plug and he didn't get ANYTHING on his disc!! Thank goodness she is too darned cute to toss outside on her sweet little ears!! LOL
