Boy quilts
I am making 3 boy quilts and not worried about fabrics but I made a pinwheel from the June Taylor twist and stitch for my daughter and wonder if the pinwheel itself is to feminine even with boy fabrics. I need 3 different templates, don't want them to be alike. I had a blast with the twist and stitch but any advice would be welcome. I have the small applecore template which would work for one but just wasnt sure on the pinwheel. It is the one in my profile photo.
Thanks,
Evelyn

My experience, though limited, tells me that boys like the direct approach with their quilts. My biggest boy, (DH) didn't even know quilts were quilted!!! until I took up the hobby.
I like the idea of an 'apple core' quilt in red white and blue. Then again, I love red, white and blue together.
I made a pinwheel quilt in r,w,b several years ago, using only 4 fabrics. I posted it on QB - here's the link. I think it would work in any set of colors.
