So today was spent with a good friend and lots of sewing. She wanted to make her first quilt today. We found fabric and I taught her all about rulers and cutting mats and rotary cutters. Poor thing was overwhelmed in the fabric store- hee hee. I don't have anyone around me that enjoys quilting, so this was a blast! I can't wait for her to finish so we can take a picture!

Congratulations!! I remember the day I caught the bug. An acquaintance (I had met her through some other friends) asked me if I'd like to attend a quilting event with her and that was it for me. I was hooked. The best thing is that we are now best friends and I don't have to drag my DH with me to fabric shops when I want help picking out fabrics.

How nice for you, I've found a group of ladies I sew with on Wednesdays. It's fun to see everyone's work and share enthusiasm.

Isn't that fun!? I have a two friends that were inspired by my quilting to start themselves! What is unfortunate about it is that they are both friends I met online, and they live nowhere near me...so we can't play together. LOL We chat online a lot and I've had a million questions, but I love answering them!! I wish we could get together and sew. One of them has finished her first quilt and the other is done her top! I was thrilled for them both!
