Default Broke my no more buying rule...

I just finished ordering from Crabapple Hill studio an "Over the River.. pattern and floss kits. I just couldn't resist any more. I think my excitement will overshadow my guilt. lol

Default Almost ready to fall off the wagon myself

I decided to finish a few things before jumping headlong into anything else. Christmas is coming, dr bills, etc are all good reasons to abstain, BUT after being at Quilt Festival I am so inspired! ACK!!! I was such a good girl at festival and only purchased a few stencils. Maybe if I wrap up three projects I can treat myself to a new one. ANC I should shop stash first, only I know I don't own a single reproduction fabric. I'll enable you if you enable me. Good trade.

I try not to set hard and fast no-buy rules as I'll just end up feeling guilty if I succumb to the neat new fabric. I have found though that I'm more conscious of what I'm buying and more selective than I was when I first started building my stash.

Cheers, K

I've used up some of my scraps and even some stash so maybe I will splurge soon too.

I fell off the wagon too. I have a good stash, and my goal was to use it and let it get out of hand where I'd be labeled a "hoarder". I wanted to get my room sorted and organized - but with other household projects - everything in due time.

I have had a pattern and an "idea" for well over a year, and I've been collecting various fabrics for this idea for about the same amount of time. One of the things I need are border fabrics - not always easy to find.

So I fell off the wagon. A few times.

I think this is crucial...to buy consciously...and then to enjoy what you buy!

I decided that giving up buying new fabric was just too hard for me. So instead, I gave up buying junk food and soft drinks. I've lost 40 pounds in six months and have plenty of fabric to show for it
