Found this in Nashville-craigslist. Is this a good price? I can't seem to find any prices on the internet for them.

Is it a good machine to learn with?

I have the SE-350 ( sewing machine/emb machine combo)

and I LOVE it!... very easy to learn.... my only complaint( and it looks like this model has a larger hoop) is mine will only go up to a 4x4 hoop.. I wish I had a larger hoop.. minimum of a 5x7...

seems prices are running @ $200-400 for this machine via ebay + $25.00 and up for shipping

For that price, I would get the SE400. This is the one I have right now and love it... This one is able to hook up to your computer with a USB cord so that you can use all the free embroidery designs on the internet without having to buy more fabric. These go for between $350 and $400.

I started machine embroidery off this same machine and got it off ebay for under 200.00 - I wouldn't pay that price.

The PE 150 is a good machine to start with if your not sure you want to invest a lot of money - although I then went and got the esante ese2 and then I got the brother professional - so you can see how much I loved mine!

I didn't see a price. That's the one i have.I wouldn't buy one again because you can't get the cards anymore. You have to buy something like magic box to put designs on the cards.Connie in CO
