I am considering buying a Brother QC1000. Does anyone have this machine? What are the pros and cons? Sherry McD

I have had this machine for 1 1/2 years and absolutely love everything about it. Love the needle down, knee bar, all the stitches, drop in bobbin, needle threader etc. I have had no trouble with the machine and would not trade it for any other one.

I've been looking at the QC1000, too. So far, the price scares me, but I like the way it looks.

I'm sure Eddie on this board has one and is always turning out beautiful quilts. Maybe he will see this post and tell you about his experience with it.

Looks like a great machine, I don't have it, but would love too.

I have the QC1000 and love it. Had it about 2 years now; it just does all I want it to do. Mechanically, it is a workhorse; I have fmq on it, pieced, used the alphabet, and some of the decorative stitches, and it just sews beautifully. I paid around 2G for it and am very satisfied.

I have this machine and I love, love, LOVE it! Lots of stitches and easy to change settings too. The only thing that I've purchased extra is 1/4" foot (I can't sew a straight line with a ruler) and I'm thinking about buying a walking foot. Easy to maintain, the machine is great...

The walking foot is an essential and very easy to put on.
