I would appreciate anything that someone took the time to make for me.

Have fun and show us what you end up making.

Love the table toppers! Gives me a good idea for gifts also. Placemats would work well also. I have a pattern that calls for 4 FQ, I think it's called Take Four. They work up quite fast & easy.

love your blocks, especially the ornaments one. great pillows.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

How about a set of placemats and matching pot holders? Placemats are usually 12"x18", so 1-1/2 yards of fabric would be more than enough. In fact, if you can add fabric, you could probably get 4 placemats, 4 microwave bowl holders and some potholders.

Oh My Goodness, I just love the first one, so vivid in the reds and white! Absolutely outstanding! Is the center of the block applique, embroidery, or the fabric itself? The other two are very pretty too.

Our group did something similar some years ago, but the receiver was to give finished item to giver for their birthday, inside the bag was identifying information. Since my birthday is in December, when everyone is so busy I decided to put in an easy apron panel. So, to my shock, the woman who got my bag was a true quilt published artist! If I had even dreamed she would get my bag I would have put several good fabrics in it. LOL Plus, in the meantime we were unexpectedly transferred out of state, I never even received the apron back.
