Would anyone buy a sewing machine from Amazon and if so what would be the best one?

I love Amazon. I would buy a machine from them. Which machine is a personal opinion. How much do you plan to spend? What do you want to do with it? Are you making clothes, piecing quilts, quilting? Do you want 1000 different stitches, or a straight stitch only?

I would probably buy one from there. My sister has bought two (one for home and one to keep at my parents' house) and she is happy with them (at least the one for home-the other one was just recently purchased).

I have bought lots of stuff from Amazon and have been very pleased. Even the couple of times I had questions or had to return a wrong item, Customer Service was very good to deal with. I would buy a basic machine from there, but, I would be very hesitant on buying a computerized one that way (JMHO.)

Yep, I would. In fact, I did yesterday.

I bought mine from Ken's Sewing Center.

No problem with buying from Amazon, however you don't get the lessons and service that you would from a shop.

I was thinking of the Janome DC1050. It's computerized and a good price for me.

I bought a Brother 3750 (not sure of that number); got a great price, it was delivered right on time, no damage to shipping box etc. Was very well pleased with buying procedure, product and shipping. I would buy again.
