I've been told the Babylock is just a high-end Brother; save money and buy a Pfaff. I did and I'm not sorry.

I, along with 3 friends, have the Janome 7700. We all love it! I like the bigger harp space, ease of use, nice features overall. It is a true work horse. This is the 3rd Janome I have purchased and am always pleased with their products.

I just bought a Babylock Aria today ! love it. Looked at all the others, what sold me was the easy, easy, easy (did I say easy)no brainer, no special magic required, THREADER.After struggling with my Brother cs1000 "auto threader" which broke twice and make me crazy and blind, this was the one feature no other brand had.

I had a bernina 150 which i liked but smooth talking dealer and my hubby talked me into the BL Crescendo. I like it okay generally but love, love the pivot feature. Niece now has the bernina.

Love my Viking Sapphire. No problems so far. Love that the foot rises a little when I stop sewing in needle down mode.
Look for the features you want in a machine.
