    Cactus Applique?

Size: 145.8 KBHi Friends,
I'd like to add appliqued cactus to the brown border. If anyone has cactus clip art or another source of inspiration for this border, I'd love to see it. I'm a little intimidated to start as I have only needled turned one project and it was just large circles.

I'd be tempted to simply quilt cactus in the border rather than applique

this is exactly what popped into my head when viewing the picture. Imagine my surprise to scroll down and read the responses. I agree, quilt the cacti rather than applique. It will be super cute.

I agree with OhCanada that quilting the outline of a cactus would look much better and be much easier.

That's an interesting block pattern. I like it.

Far be it from me to interfere in your design but, when I saw it was cowgirls, I thought, that maybe a winding rope with a cactus flower once in a while on the rope was something that might be easier to apply to a border. Just a suggestion.
