why would you want to know how much you need? just buy more than you think you need.

One of a friend of mines inlaws gave me this when she found out I was a quilter. I haven't used it yet but it comes with a big ol how to book.

I have one and it is wonderful. I have used it a lot. I carry it in my purse so I can use it as just a plain ol' calculator too. It really is a great gadget to have.
