Quilting materials are not to be used for mending! Make sure every member of the family knows this rule.

I didn't quilt while I had children at home and it's just me & the hubby. I don't think he knows how to sew a straight line(or at least that's what he says, lol). I'd definitely put this at the top of the list of NO-NO's along with NOT using my GOOD scissors for anything else but fabric!

uh...guess i broke this rule lol

took my youngest brother to joanns and had him pick out a few fat quarters so i could patch his jeans...

he had like 5 pairs of good jeans that he ripped through at the back pockets (the wallet thing-in out in out in out)

i cut up one pair that was beyond salvation and used that as the backer to the cotton patch...

he luvs em!
