Does anyoneelse have calluses on their finger tips from quilting by hand? And, if you go for awhile with quilting, do your fingers heal and get sore all over again. Is there a happy medium?

When I hand quilted my fingers always had calluses! There is no happy medium, just quilt often and you will be fine!

No shes just GIVING them away. LOLOL. You can buy some little clear things that stick to your fingers maybe try them. I don't know what they are called but someone does I am sure.

Yes!!! Don't know a happy medium. If I can't feel the needle on the bottom I feel very awkward.

I'm the same - calluses all over the place. The first few days, pin pricks and hurting, eventually calluses. When I finish that project, healing over until the next. Just a viscious cycle. Learn to enjoy.

Hand Wash dishes in warm soapy water, best cure for those callouses.

Ditto
If I feel my calluses getting soft, no matter what else I am doing, I stop and hand quilt. Those calluses are to be treasured!
