MANY years ago I purchased (at a craft sale) two pillows that had been appliqued with an airplane and a baby buggy. In each vehicle was a doll(handmade) that could be removed from the vehicle and played with by the child who owned the pillow. I have never seen these made since and would love to get a pattern to make something like that. Anyone seen something similar?

They WERE adorable... I don't recall if there was a tag/card with the maker's name. I gave one of these to a niece as a birthday gift or baby gift. She is now 28 years old so It was a LONG time ago...thanks for your interest in this... these have been on my mind for some time as you can tell

I haven't seen that and I can't even visualize it. But the idea of it reminds me of 'church babies'. Church babies are in a little crocheted purse/bag with a draw string. You turn the purse almost inside out and it forms a cradle. Little girls carry them to church to kept themselves out of trouble.
