Hi all... here's the deal... I've collected old shirts and thought they were all 100% cotton. But today, when I started cutting them up (since I couldn't get on the board  ) I noticed there are a few cotton/poly blends, and one is a linen/cotton blend. I want to make a log cabin with the thinner weight denim I've cut from old jeans, skirts and shirts. What do you think?

I would use them. They are used so must have been washed lots so no worry about shrinkage.

I regularly sneak in the odd renegade fabric. As long as it washes alright and is of a similar weight you will be fine.

one caution, if using poly, be sure not to use too hot of an iron. the poly may melt.
