    I was going to suggest you try it that way! There is also an easy way to make 8 HSTs at a time if you want.
    Fast way to do 8 at a time half square triangles (HST) with straight of grain edges!

    I always do that. I do not like the sewn seam when two 1/2 square triangles are sewn together to make flying geese.
