Did you see this one yesterday? The pattern is continued all the way to the edge of the quilt. The effect is lovely. The directions are in the first link I posted. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-163140-1.htm

the colorful carpenters star would be great. but larger. someone posted a pic i saw today that fit over the sides of the bed too. it was her guest room quilt. gorgeous and easy to do also.
Ha!!! that is the one in the link above my post. I want one like that!!!!

I don't know if you got the answer to your question or not I just saw a picture of the Carpenter Star this evening and fell in love with it. I also need the pattern for a queen and found this on Keepsake's website with the dimensions for the quilt hope it helps answer your question.
