I googled a specific fabric I needed to match for borders on a quilt for a friend. I FINALLY found it on a quilt store site-ordered 3 yards. I get an email from the store saying that this was no longer available and could I use a substitute. I emailed back saying that I needed that exact fabric. The reply was "Thanks for the quick reply Jane. I'll get the check out in today's mail." Well......since the order could not be filled-why was my cc charged?! I was not aware that was done. At least I did get a check in the mail. I've had several others call to tell me an item was out of stock-did I want a substitute or cancel that item and that adjusted order would be charged.

Found the fabric on another site, ordered and rec'd. I missread the confirmation of this order and ordered ANOTHER 4 yards from yet another site-not in yet. I've gone from panic to plenty :)

Oh no!! How frustrating you can always try to sell it here if you have too much or maybe it is another quilt just waiting to be cut!!

The 3 yd will be to finish the original quilt. The other will be a backing for a ?? quilt-I have a fat quarter bundle of Sunshine by April Cornel. It will for now just be added to the horder's stash....

I would wonder why they didn't refund your CC account. Sounds kind of strange to me. Some online order sites charge immediatly, but they usually reject the order right away if they don't have the full quantity.

When I order things, they don't charge until they ship. The book and ruler that I ordered was on back order and had to wait about two week for it to come, but they did not charge me until they shipped it. It was a good thing they sent me an email about it being on back order. I think it is strange for then to charge you and not refund you money with out first asking if you wanted some diffrent or tell you it is out of stock before charging you. Something fishy going on there. Good luck, Huggies, Fay

I ordered 3 yds. of a border stripe fabric. First I got an email that it was backordered. Then when the package came there was 1/2 yd. and a note saying that was all they had. Not much I can do with 1/2 yd. of a border stripe but I love the fabric and am determined to do something with it.

That would be the last time I ordered from that place. I had a neat experience with sunshinesewing.com. I have gotten stuff from them a lot. Well, I ordered some fabrics that were "just a little bit left" to use as blenders and backings for my quilts for kids. Richard (the owners husband and partner) called me on the phone to tell me he was out of one of the pieces. They have a deal of no shipping on orders over $100. He said that would put me below the $100 mark and did I want to order something else; he would hold my order till I checked the website. I told him what I wanted and trusted his judgment to add something similar and to try not to go over $110. Well, he e-mailed me later that day that my order was being shipped and he hoped I was happy with his choice. It came a couple days later and was absolutely perfect. He said I was one of his best customers and he wanted to make me happy. Now that's the way to keep your customers happy. The website is http://www.sunshinesewing.com. It is near Orlando, FL.
