Many years ago, QNM had a pattern for a cathedral window ornament. It was 3 or 4 individual cathedral windows, then stitched and folded to make a 3-dimensional ornament.

This was a lovely ornament, just can't find any instructions anywhere.
Can anyone help me??

I don't know if this is the same as the QNM ornament, but this was posted on this board a few years ago:

Cathedral Window Ornaments

For each ornament:

Cut 2 – 7 ½ “ squares of muslin or any background fabric you wish. On each square, fold over all edges ¼” and press. Fold squares in half with folded edges on outside.(#1) With small overcast stitches and catching only the edge of the fold, sew edges together from open corners at top to about 1” from the bottom corner. (#2) Turn piece inside out and refold flat into a square with previously sewn seems meeting in the center. Press. Sew the open edges together from center out (again using an overcast stitch). (#3) Do not sew thru bottom piece of fabric. Turn piece over so plain side is on top. Fold corners so that they meet in the center, press and pin, then tack to the square.(#4) Make one more square the same as this one. Join the two squares together. Overcast one edge together and fold out and press (finger pressing is fine)

Cut 2” squares of fabric that you want to use for the “window”. Use your imagination. Fabric that can be fussy cut works out nice (as in the white ornament). The patches are placed over the diamond shapes formed by the two adjacent squares. (#5) Fold one edge of diamond shape in a curve over onto window patch and slip stitch in place, leaving both ends of curved edge unstitched for ¼”. Repeat with an adjacent edge of the diamond shape, then tack the adjacent ends in same manner.

Fold back and join together on other (back) side. (#6) Sew 2” square into middle. Overcast edges together and sew another window to diamond shape formed by this last seam. Whip stitch bottom edge together. Stuff and whip stitch remaining edge together. It is not necessary to sew a “window” patch to the back side of the ornament but I found it to be nicer even though more work. This way no matter which way the ornament is turned…you see a window.
