charity Corvette quilt delivered
#1
I made a quilt using Corvette fabric for our club to auction off at a charity event that is in Sept. I delivered the quilt to the committee last night, and I got the nicest response. Made me feel good, even though I know the quit was far from my best.
This is a yearly event, and last Sept. I made a lap sized quilt in a week to auction off, after I realized the lady who normally made a quilt had quit the club in a huff. That quilt was really rushed, so I made the quilt for this year early, just so I wouldn't feel rushed.
However, I now know more about sandwiching a quilt and could have done a much better job. Next year I will have a better product to offer. Luckily, Corvette drivers rarely quilt, and they all think I am just really special!
I'll enclose a picture, if I can find one. Don't look too close. I am still figuring out how to make good corners (3 our of 4 are usually okay) and well....don't look too closely. Only my quilt inspector and I know what really is there...
