When I lived in las Vegas a quilter showed me how to make a "charity quilt" - I thought that perhaps two fabrics were used - (am not sure) - anyway, when you cut the pieces out, you had another quilt only the fabrics were reversed, but the pieces were the same, only the different fabric.

Does anyone have this pattern for charity quilts - perhaps it was not necessarily a charity quilt. I have called the quilt store in Vegas and they remember the quilt, but do not have the lady's name or the pattern anymore.

    Can anyone help?

    thanks

    darlene

Perhaps it was a pattern called "Well Wishes".

I remember a quilt like this that was a pdf on-line, but I am having a hard time remembering the name of it. I think it is saved on my old computer. Hopefully, someone will remember. If not, I will try to power it up. I don't know if it will even work anymore, but I can try.

    Is it this pattern?

Only this one gives you three quilts from the same fabrics. Do you remember more about how the quilt looked?

That is the one I was thinking of. Thanks so much for posting it.

I looked online and it was not well wishes. Thank you, though.

What I remember the most about the quilt was that when you cut the piece for the first quilt, the pieces left were for the second quilt - in reverse color.

Sadie - Glad I could help, anyway. I really like the concept of this quilt.

It sounds like the link I gave, although it uses three different fabrics and so you end up with three different quilts. But the colors are reversed.

can you find the quilt on your old computer? I don't think it was the one in the link, either.

    thanks, though

I wonder if it could be a quilt from this book:

Anita Grossman specializes in fast cutting techniques for blocks and has other books as well.
