After reading about titatuim (sp) needles I felt I just had to have them. I bought 3 pkgs. Slowly I noticed my thread cutter was only cutting the bobbin thread. My needle threader didn't work. I just figured the eye of the needle was just too small. Yesterday while at the dollar store I bought a pkg. of ten needles for a dollar. You know they just have to be good. Well I just tried one. Wow my machine sounds so much better, stiches are really good, before no matter the stich length they were real tiny. My machine just wouldn't sew over the seams, does now. My cutter & threader work ( what's up with that  )

Well, maybe, since you asked, your expensive titanium needle wasn't installed just right.

my machine truely has a mind of it's own- can refuse to accept $15 a cone thread once and allow it just fine another time-
same with needles- i've put in needles that (i knew was new-can't be the needle) after trying for an hour to do something and to the point of---tears- or throwing the ....
thing out- i finally give in and change the needle---and everything is ok again- but then the same dog-gone needle will be ok another time---
machines---they will do what they do...

I was thinking the same thing or mayde the needles were bad. Kept using new ones, see another lamp beside machine to doubly make sure needle was inserted right. My machine just doesn't like quality needles.

I always said if I had a machine that needed certain threads & needles I sure wouldn't be having it very long. But I guess particular in the cheap direction is OK. I have a Brother NX 600. I almost talked myself into getting a 1500 but now I'm kinda of wanting an embriodery machine.
