Hi friends, you all know by now I am ms chatty mouth so here I go. I have the Berninia 630.. love it and I use it constantly. I just upgraded to a much more "complex" for me program that I am now getting into. I did not get the one that's over $1900..
I stumbled on a website pertaining to various products for embroidery and then I found a site on other embroidery programs. My question is,, there is a program called Embird and there are several others. Has anyone in the group used another program OTHER then the one that came with your particular embroidery machine. And if so, could I have your comments +/_ Thank you

Embird is the ONLY program I use for machine embroidery and have for 10 years.

I've seen Embird online (can't remember where) -- is a good program???

I have the Bernina software and updated to V6 -- which I love. They're having classes at the store every month to help us learn to use it....

I have a Pfaff and bought the emb. software to go with it. HOWEVER, if I had known how user-friendly Embird was I would have purchased it instead.

Takes me kinda back to my original part of the question... can you use both on your machine? Say I have my Berninia updated [program in a separate file and a separate file for Claire's Designs. Can I also install Embird in a seaparate file and have a separate file named "blank blank designs or whatever"... would it be worth it to do this. Or would I just be shooting myself in the foot...

    with thanks, blue

I'm sure you can use several different embroidery programs in your computer....don't know why it won't work :D

I had to buy Embird to change my pes designs to SHV. It does a fantastic job and is easy to use. So far I have only bought the conversion software but it works great. I have Janome Digitizer and customizer that I use for lettering, sizing, and importing several designs together.

I also have the Janome customizer and digitizer, but use the Embird for file conversions and organization. I have the Iconizer and that is wonderful. The Icon is the design and it really makes it easy to keep things organized.

I have Embird and love it. There are lots of groups that offer free lessons and there's a site that offers very low cost classes. It's nice because you can by one module at a time.
