Does anyone know where I can get the directions to make the chicken pincushion made out of two log cabin blocks? I got one set of directions off the net, but they just aren't clear, and no pictures!
Stores want $10 for one of these and I thought I could make one myself, but just can't figure this one out. Would appreciate any help. :)

Oh how I would love that pattern also. I'll be watching to get this pattern. Wanted to make some for 4-H chicken auction.

Okay, dumb question time.... you fill it with dry rice? What kind of rice - just the regular white stuff?

you can fill it with anything. Sometimes I use crushed walnuts in a muslin bag, or craft pellets, or brillo, or polyfil. It's your choice really.

My suggestion is if you're using rice, walnuts or pellets, put it in a small muslin bag, whip or ladder stitch that closed, and then stuff the chicken. Also, use a small funnel cos they can make a mess if you mis-aim. :) (Ask how I know that!)

Okay, I get it... the rice (or whatever) is just to weight the bottom! I have a bunch of craft pellets I can use. Thanks!
