    Chicken scratch

Does anyone know where I can find patterns for Chicken scratch. A friend made my daughter a baby quilt and it had a star Chicken scratched on it.

I just love chicken scrtch. does anyone know where I can get prequilted gingham for it?
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Hmm, just thinking out loud here..if the gingham is prequilted and you chicken scratch over it won't that leave some threads looser and more likely to get caught by something in use? It's been a LONG time since I did it...but on flat gingham - aprons!

used a yard of it and did a baby blanket for my son. came out beautifully. the prequilted held it up so much more nicer.

http://melindasfabricshop.com/ carries pre-quilted fabric. If she doesn't have what you want, email her and she'll check her resources. Her prices are good.

WOW, everything that was OLD is now NEW again. Haven't seen that since the 60s.

Tons of free patterns on the internet. I am in the middle of a chicken scratch quilt at the moment. I am just copying traditional quilt block patterns and I think it looks quite nice.
