featherweight update
A couple of weeks ago I posted about how my "sneaky" husband bought me a 1950 featherweight on e-bay. Shortly after he purchased that, we were "yard saling" and we can across a motorless centennial featherweight. My husband won a motor for that one on e-bay. Motor worked, but we discovered that the cord was not working. Husband determined what was wrong with plug, ordered new one. Now we have 2 functioning featherweights. We joke that he needs to take up sewing with me. He says he feels like a sewing machine repairman. Yesterday we went to an estate sale and I found some very pretty quilt blocks made from old feed sacks. I have plans on putting them together for a quilt, using my "new" featherweight.

Ha, that is very similar to what happened to me. DH bought one secretly on e-bay but just before it arrived I found one locally and bought it. Although, it is not a centennial and I do not have the second one running yet.

Yes, my husband is a very handy man, had to use the multi meter (I think that's what it is) to determine what was wrong with cord and plug. We even took the foot pedal apart to see if anything was wrong with it.
