I was looking up D9P last night and there are tons of free tutorials and so many different ways to turn your blocks...and they are easy peasy. You could make up a few in different arrangements and colors and they wouldn't look anything alike. MSQC has a tutorial using charm packs and other tutorials were for 4.5 inch blocks.

Check out Pinterest. Just type Christmas quilts in the search box.

Here are two that are easy, a puzzle quilt and the ever popular Warm Wishes. WW is easy and can very so much but fabric choices. Do a search here on QB and you will see some many variations, they are fun to look at. Also, look in the pictures section, someone just recently posted a Christmas quilt that is very nice, perhaps she will share the pattern.

Right now SewFreshQuilts has a Christmas block of the month that is free and cute as heck. Also Moda.com has a Christmas Tree quilt pattern that is free. Check fabric manufacturers sites as there are quite a few that are free.

I would also look at the 3-dudes-jelly roll quilt. Someone on this board (I believe) made a version in holiday that was wonderful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5Ixvjje310

This one isn't free, but I love this pattern for big novelty prints. I made a Halloween quilt from this pattern that I LOVE! http://www.fatquartershop.com/perfec...-quilt-pattern

And here's my quilt. It would be marvelous in holiday big novelty prints. Like big birds? Or snowmen?
