Several weeks ago someone posted and or sent me a pvt email that their group makes stockings for troops.
If it was in a pvt email then I have lost it.
Could that have been anyone here. If so, will you contact me again.

When my son was in Iraq the 2nd time, I made Magic Stockings for all the troops serving under him and some friends from work and church chipped in and we bought candy, drink mixes, etc., to stuff them and then I shipped them over (I think there were about 30 of them). If you Google Magic Stockings, you should be able to find the pattern if you are interested. They are very easy to make and turn out really cute.

One of my quilt guilds makes stockings and fills them every year for the soldiers. We shipped them thru the local National Guard Armory. I think our National Guard collected and sent 750 stockings last Christmas.

We put a huge collection of things in the stocking we fill and then we sew the tops shut by hand with a whip stitch so nothing falls out.

Our church makes and fills stockings for soldiers. We do it with a group called Boatsie's Boxes. Last Christmas they sent over 20,000 stockings overseas. They also do jelly beans and valentines. A really good organization.
