homemade/handcrafted gifts. (Surprise!)

I'm working on an idea for a gift bundle "for the home" to give to my husband's father & step-mom.

So far I'm including:
- a set of 6 Criss-Cross Coasters
- a set of 2 small / 1 medium / 1 large Microwave Bowl Mitts

I've thought about making matching oven mitts.. but for some reason, I'm just drawing a blank on thinking of others small items to make.

Any idea spring to your mind???

What about mug rugs, you could personalize one for each of them.
Have fun making your gifts, I wish I was as ready for tHe holidays as you are.

I like Trif's mug rug idea. Another idea, a little easier than oven mitts, is a trivit or 2 (just like hotpads only a little bigger).

Good idea but icksnay on the mug rugs..
they are the afternoon cocktail type.
I figured the coasters would at least get used.

Oven mitt / hot pad / trivit.. gotcha!
All matching.

Maybe I could figure out something to make as a "remote control" corral too..

Hi, I live in The Woodlands, which means we could be neighbors. I think the 10-minute table runner looks nice and is so easy. There are also some great casserole carrier patterns free online. My sisters have requested quilted journal covers...easy!
