I draw circles on freezer paper then press them onto quilt top and use walking foot to sew.My quilts won't win any awards but it works for me. Dee

That's how I do it too. Simple and it works. I have the Westlalee rulers and foot and I am praticing and getting better with that. It's fun.

Thanks for the link to Kens. I've been looking for places that sell rulers to use for quilting on my machine.

For those who use a walking foot, wouldn't it be easier to use your freezer paper technique and then FMQ it, rather than have to turn the entire quilt with the walking foot? Or did I miss something? I am using a domestic machine.

My machine has a large harp space so it's not that hard to turn a quilt. I don't do turns on a king size though. This book is wonderful about quilting with a walking foot. One Line at Time by Charlotte Warr Andersen

I draw them on and use my walking foot. Or if I am making concentric circles I draw the first one and use the quilting guide of my walking foot to make the subsequent ones.
